6 months ago – Tue, May 28, 2024 at 08:14:07 AM

Hi everyone, we're almost there! I have some exciting news…

We're Working With Panda

We can now reveal that V2S Games has been working with Panda Game Manufacturing: the makers of Wingspan, Gloomhaven, Root and other great games. We're committed to ensuring that The King's Poisoner standard & deluxe edition boxed sets are produced with high-quality components by industry-leading manufacturers and made available at reasonable prices, even with the discounts offered in this crowdfunding campaign. We want The King's Poisoner to be accessible, yet worthy of finding a home in your castles and gracing your tables!

Only 3 Days Left to Pledge

To do this, we must reach our goal. That's why right NOW is the best time to back the campaign!

Remember, there's no risk to you if the project doesn't fund. BackerKit is an all-or-nothing funding platform, so you won't be charged any amount for a campaign that doesn't reach its goal.

If you've already backed, we need your help to spread the word to make this happen. Please share the campaign on your socials, talk about it on your channels, forward emails and chats to your friends & family—every little bit helps and we're incredibly grateful!

The Game Continues

We'll be continuing our play-by-poll game right to the end of the campaign. Will the king live or die? Keep an eye out for the next poll and happy voting!

Many thanks,
Jonathan (V2S Games)

👑24 hours and 34% Funded!
7 months ago – Wed, May 01, 2024 at 05:15:46 AM

Wow, what a day! Thanks everyone for your interest, support and kind words, it's been exhilarating and extremely gratifying!

I know we've still got some way to go, but I'm buoyed by the progress we've made towards our goal and the responses to the campaign.

So much so, that I thought we'd try something fun—let's all play The King's Poisoner together...BY POLL!

That's right, you heard me. I know, I know, it's never been tried before, and probably with good reason, but let's give it a shot anyway!

Ok, Let's Play.

Whenever you start playing a game of The King's Poisoner, the first thing you have to do is choose a king.

See that poll down below, the choice is yours!

If you're having trouble deciding, please keep reading the quoted text.

But how do you know if you want to be king if you've never played the game before, I hear you ask?

I usually tell people that first of all, you can't make a mistake. All the roles are fun to play, and if you're not king this time, you should definitely give it a try the next.

That being said, though the king can still conspire with others, they have a little less freedom with card play in Acts I & III. However, they do have more influence over the setting and tone of the game by virtue of their role.

So if you like describing or imagining the world around you, or having more of a say over the kingdom in the story you're all creating, the role of the king will suit perfectly!

If you'd rather do more scheming and strategizing, or experience manipulating the cards on the table with your advantage, you're probably best to start as a member of the king's court.

I hope that all makes sense! If not, please feel free to start a discussion in the Community and ask a question.
